Virgilijus Tarvydas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu having to interfere. Virgilijus Tarvydas might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilijus Tarvydas ran back to his position shaking his head. Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu stood somewhat misplaced when Virgilijus Tarvydas came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 16 minute. If Selim Raif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Selimoğlu Tonya Spor booed when Finans Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogumil Kapelski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Virgilijus Tarvydas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience was convinced that Virgilijus Tarvydas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Bedri Canıtez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mustafa Ekrem Ayıkoğlu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Finans Spor's Virgilijus Tarvydas. But to his dismay, Virgilijus Tarvydas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Finans Spor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
