After 14 minutes of play, Zara Belediyespor's Yaşar Nuri Kutuner made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hürkan İftihar was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Muhammet Tanır came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Zara Belediyespor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhammet Tanır couldn't finish the play. Muhammet Tanır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Hürkan İftihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Hakan Aldemir made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Battal Akbel sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund's Battal Akbel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Hakan Aldemir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alemdar Erdemir hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Battal Akbel got free with Ahmet Hakan Aldemir in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hazar Turatekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ahmet Hakan Aldemir made a huge save. Battal Akbel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Battal Akbel in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Hakan Aldemir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Muhammet Tanır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Dortmund's Hürkan İftihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıza Ağçelik in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Akbel in the 84th minute of play forced Zara Belediyespor's goalkeeper Ahmet Hakan Aldemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Muhammet Tanır got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
