In the 7th minute, Vakfıkebir SK's Rüstem Özsungur seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rüstem Özsungur the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vakfıkebir SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rüstem Özsungur had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th match minute, Vakfıkebir SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüstem Özsungur to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Ömür Yalazay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akşemseddin Doğa having to interfere. Muhsin Hüsrev made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ERCİYES SPOR's Utku Has. After a rather tough play, Vakfıkebir SK's Yiğit Can İkinci got a free kick in the 14th minute. Bill Polonia took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Felipo. Pedro Felipo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Ruben Rudolfo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Akşemseddin Doğa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 31 in the game by Ruben Rudolfo from a close distance when the talented Akşemseddin Doğa managed to make a qualified save. Vakfıkebir SK's players were relieved. Pedro Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Halis Şahkar in the 34th minute of the match. Pedro Felipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aktuğ Dağasan's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Akşemseddin Doğa made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ahmet Ömür Yalazay sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aktuğ Dağasan to strike the kick off in the second half. Utku Has's late challenge caught a Vakfıkebir SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Utku Has helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes ERCİYES SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Utku Has. In the 58th minute, Ahmet Göktuğ Özdamar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ERCİYES SPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After 69 played minutes ERCİYES SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Fikret Orkutay. In the 71st minute, Ruben Rudolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Aktuğ Dağasan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruben Rudolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akşemseddin Doğa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Rudolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aktuğ Dağasan in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Ahmet Göktuğ Özdamar made a precise shot to the right of Akşemseddin Doğa. Vakfıkebir SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. Ahmet Göktuğ Özdamar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Aktuğ Dağasan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vakfıkebir SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aktuğ Dağasan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Felipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Rudolfo in the 96th minute of play forced Vakfıkebir SK's goalkeeper Akşemseddin Doğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ERCİYES SPOR were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Vakfıkebir SK to leave the ground with a draw.
