The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Yakut Civanbaht mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genç Oğlanlar and the YEFED players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aytuğ Kelim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azim Tanırer, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Aytuğ Kelim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azim Tanırer in the 14th minute of play. Azim Tanırer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aytuğ Kelim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Genç Oğlanlar's zone, Bedirhan Dürüst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aytuğ Kelim came out of the goal and Bedirhan Dürüst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Genç Oğlanlar's goal looked a bit too open when Azim Tanırer came free, but Aytuğ Kelim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. YEFED's Mariano Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aycan Adılhan in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, YEFED's Bedirhan Dürüst got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes of play, Genç Oğlanlar's Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Quiroga was left in no man's land by his defense there! From close distance Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı pressed in the 3-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 29 minutes into the game. 33 minutes in the game, Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mariano Quiroga having to interfere. Genç Oğlanlar's Aytuğ Kelim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Günsel in the 35th minute of play. Aytuğ Kelim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azim Tanırer in the 36th minute of play. Azim Tanırer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aytuğ Kelim having to interfere. A collision led to YEFED getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rüstem Yaşer hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Genç Oğlanlar booed when YEFED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turgut Günsel didn't get a good kick on the ball. YEFED's Mariano Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halis Yatman in the 52nd minute of play. Mariano Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Žiačik in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, YEFED's Adolfo Ortuño got a free kick in the 67th minute. Bedirhan Dürüst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Aytuğ Kelim made a huge save. Aytuğ Kelim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azim Tanırer in the 71st minute of play. Azim Tanırer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Quiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Quiroga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı in the 83rd minute of play. If Azim Tanırer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Edinho Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aycan Adılhan in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, YEFED's goal looked a bit too open when Halis Yatman came free, but Mariano Quiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. YEFED's Mariano Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aycan Adılhan in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Genç Oğlanlar had won after a very even match.
