In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Van Spor's goalkeeper Şimşek Saraçoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Serafim Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ogün Özerdinc in the 74th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Bedih İskenderoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van Spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedih İskenderoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the sahinspor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
