The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Apelkvist during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GRİ TAKIM booed when Çanakkale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Apelkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Atilla Tarkan Başkara fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GRİ TAKIM's protests and gave Atilla Tarkan Başkara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Atilla Tarkan Başkara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdi Kargin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Iwaszko in the 14th minute of the match. GRİ TAKIM's Tahsin Akbel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mansur Başel in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Cristian Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Çanakkale's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Boniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahsin Akbel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alican Kutlar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the game, Cristian Boniel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tahsin Akbel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, GRİ TAKIM's Atilla Tarkan Başkara got a free kick in the 31st minute. The corner led Çanakkale's Salih Kaveloğlu to fire away a dangerous shot which Tahsin Akbel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Iwaszko in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Cristian Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Çanakkale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Boniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sedat Özender charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sedat Özender the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Çanakkale got a freekick which was hit by Sedat Özender. Stefan Iwaszko's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Ferdi Kargin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 48 minutes into the game, Alican Kutlar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Çanakkale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GRİ TAKIM the free kick. In the 48th match minute, Çanakkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alican Kutlar to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Cristian Boniel made the kick off in the second half. Alican Kutlar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Tahsin Akbel made a huge save. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mithat Argün the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GRİ TAKIM protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mithat Argün had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tahsin Akbel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Boniel went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Tahsin Akbel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mansur Başel in the 89th minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Alican Kutlar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tahsin Akbel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 98th minute, Mansur Başel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Çanakkale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Çanakkale left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GRİ TAKIM.
