Güney Mengüalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Tuz in the 18th minute of play. Ahmet Baki Öz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giray Semin in the 20th minute of the match. If Muharrem Tuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Muharrem Tuz got free with Güney Mengüalp in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Semavi Özek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Baki Öz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 31st minute, Marius Payet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Fenerbahce FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Semavi Özek in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Baki Öz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Semavi Özek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Fenerbahce FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Basyayla.
