The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Korcan Akarsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göktan Kutlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Mert in the 5th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Necati Ünsi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Turan Özol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Aybars Mukerrem was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Göktan Kutlar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turan Özol in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Necati Ünsi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Göktan Kutlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdurrezzak Kadrettin in the 22nd minute of play. Göktan Kutlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Mert in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Vatan Mert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göktan Kutlar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korcan Akarsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Necati Ünsi made a huge save. 32 minutes in the game Ahmet Orhan Erdesir did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ercüment Serimer. When KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Vatan Mert, in the 34th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for KOZAĞAÇSPOR. Göktan Kutlar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vatan Mert's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The throw-in from Güneri Safa in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Aybars Mukerrem. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Onur Ali Okuyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. KOZAĞAÇSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Onur Ali Okuyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Göktan Kutlar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Turan Özol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Necati Ünsi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vatan Mert was the one to do the kick off. Göktan Kutlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onur Ali Okuyan in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATARYEMEZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aybars Mukerrem was slow to take the kick. During this time KOZAĞAÇSPOR's players had a chance to rest. KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Melih Karaca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Göktan Kutlar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Abdurrezzak Kadrettin took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Göktan Kutlar to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vatan Mert in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göktan Kutlar saved ATARYEMEZ from getting behind. Necati Ünsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercüment Serimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Göktan Kutlar threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vatan Mert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. ATARYEMEZ's Göktan Kutlar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrezzak Kadrettin in the 73rd minute of play. ATARYEMEZ's Şahin Keçeli was substituted for Durmuş Parsbay. ATARYEMEZ made a substitution. Peyami Yazganalp replaced Ahmet Orhan Erdesir. Şemsettin Mirza kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Aybars Mukerrem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göktan Kutlar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ercüment Serimer charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercüment Serimer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KOZAĞAÇSPOR booed when ATARYEMEZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercüment Serimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Abdurrezzak Kadrettin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Göktan Kutlar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded KOZAĞAÇSPOR left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ATARYEMEZ.
