Marcos Arandojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özalp Hepyener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes, Talay SK's Yavuz Bülent Lütufkâr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bora Han Apaydın came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talay SK reached it. Marcos Arandojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferhan Oğurata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüseyin Can Tanju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Arandojo having to interfere. Marcos Arandojo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferhan Oğurata, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Afşar Kudret took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Arandojo. Talay SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcos Arandojo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şakir Mümtaz in the 33rd minute of play. Artova SK's Bora Han Apaydın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Oviedo in the 34th minute of play. Marcos Arandojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özalp Hepyener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şakir Mümtaz in the 38th minute of play forced Talay SK's goalkeeper Marcos Arandojo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Talay SK got a freekick which was hit by Yılmaz Deren. Hüseyin Can Tanju charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hüseyin Can Tanju the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Artova SK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hüseyin Can Tanju hit a great ball. During the 47th minute of the match Hüseyin Can Tanju completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hüseyin Can Tanju a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Talay SK booed when Artova SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin Can Tanju didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Özalp Hepyener was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Artova SK defense, Yılmaz Deren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bora Han Apaydın. The Artova SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bora Han Apaydın should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Artova SK getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Özalp Hepyener hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Oviedo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. César Oviedo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Özalp Hepyener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Arandojo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özalp Hepyener in the 64th minute of the match. Talay SK made a substitution. Lucas Torrea replaced Kai Jønlev. After 71 minutes, Tansel Ulukaan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talay SK and the Artova SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Tansel Ulukaan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Arandojo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferhan Oğurata's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, César Oviedo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Artova SK's Bora Han Apaydın. Bora Han Apaydın was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Torrea in the 78th minute of play forced Artova SK's goalkeeper Bora Han Apaydın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Talay SK's Yılmaz Deren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bora Han Apaydın made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Bora Han Apaydın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Torrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match Tansel Ulukaan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bora Han Apaydın skillfully saved the ball. In the 90th minute Lucas Torrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Han Apaydın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bora Han Apaydın came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Talay SK's César Oviedo. But to his dismay, César Oviedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 97th minute Yılmaz Deren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Han Apaydın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Talay SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Artova SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
