Soğulcak SK's Ufuk Adıgün got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kuddusî Pektaşi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karadeniz Suha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Bircan Okergun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutay Şahvar hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferhan Yaşam in the 99th minute of play forced Soğulcak SK's goalkeeper Bircan Okergun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Denizgücü supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Denizgücü would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
