A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Mustafa Emre Ulutaş hit a great ball. Mehmet Emre Özgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ali Orhan İpekçi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karahan Midilli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müfit Başar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, erzurumspor's goal looked a bit too open when Kamil Ustaoğlu came free, but Ali Orhan İpekçi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kamil Ustaoğlu in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Kamil Ustaoğlu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ayberk Derim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Müfit Başar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The erzurumspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 41 minutes into the match, erzurumspor's goal looked a bit too open when Kamil Ustaoğlu came free, but Ali Orhan İpekçi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ayberk Derim to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mehmet Emre Özgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 minutes of play GALATASARAY's Mehmet Emre Özgan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamil Ustaoğlu in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Orhan İpekçi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ali Orhan İpekçi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kamil Ustaoğlu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ali Orhan İpekçi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamil Ustaoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes of play, GALATASARAY's Kamil Ustaoğlu made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ali Orhan İpekçi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Işıkalp Aytuğ fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Işıkalp Aytuğ a yellow card for diving instead. Işıkalp Aytuğ hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ayberk Derim struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Karahan Midilli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for erzurumspor. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fikret Soyuer during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fikret Soyuer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bekir Ekinoğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ali Orhan İpekçi. erzurumspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 91 played minutes erzurumspor got a freekick which was hit by Fikret Soyuer. Müfit Başar charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Müfit Başar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when erzurumspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Müfit Başar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Işıkalp Aytuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ali Orhan İpekçi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GALATASARAY were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of erzurumspor for a fine match.
