Mahmud Alp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gürel Çeliktaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atay Turan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Birol Alişan charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Doğan Topçam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serdar Haspolatlı in the 36th minute of play. Kağan Tuğsan kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Serdar Haspolatlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Uriondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, sivasank's Okanalp Giryar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doğan Topçam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Álvaro Uriondo to strike the kick off in the second half. Álvaro Uriondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doğan Topçam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Serdar Haspolatlı received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Doğan Topçam came out and tried to block the shot, but Serdar Haspolatlı slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 54th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Serdar Haspolatlı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sivasank's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serdar Haspolatlı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as sivasank's Álvaro Uriondo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Doğan Topçam. That made the score 2-3 after 58 minutes of play. If Atay Turan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Atay Turan came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the sivasank fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atay Turan couldn't finish the play. Atay Turan kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Mahmud Alp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürel Çeliktaş in the 74th minute of the match. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
