Sergen Durukan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergen Durukan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Álvaro Uriondo sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the game, Álvaro Uriondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. sivasank's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ümraniye FK the free kick. In the 14th minute, Álvaro Uriondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. sivasank's Mahmud Alp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Haşim Arslantürk in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ümraniye FK's goal looked a bit too open when Serdar Haspolatlı came free, but Sergen Durukan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergen Durukan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atay Turan in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atay Turan got free with Sergen Durukan in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abbas Zağanos's late challenge caught a sivasank's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abbas Zağanos helped the player get up and apologised. Sergen Durukan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Özmen Birsen. 28 minutes into the match, Atay Turan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergen Durukan. Ümraniye FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atay Turan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 31st minute, Hacı Ali Sakman made a precise shot to the right of Mahmud Alp. sivasank's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ümraniye FK's zone, Serdar Haspolatlı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergen Durukan came out of the goal and Serdar Haspolatlı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Okanalp Giryar in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergen Durukan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 40 played minutes Ümraniye FK got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Selimhan Özyuva. In the 42nd minute Ahmet Haşim Arslantürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahmud Alp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ümraniye FK's Başar Başhekim got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Ayberk Latif came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the sivasank fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayberk Latif couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hacı Ali Sakman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, sivasank's Álvaro Uriondo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergen Durukan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The supporters of Ümraniye FK booed when sivasank was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kağan Tuğsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ümraniye FK's zone, Álvaro Uriondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergen Durukan came out of the goal and Álvaro Uriondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergen Durukan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Özmen Birsen went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Mahmud Alp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Haşim Arslantürk in the 63rd minute. Mahmud Alp was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Ergin Türköz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ergin Türköz really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Sergen Durukan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atay Turan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Álvaro Uriondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergen Durukan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Ümraniye FK and the sivasank players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes sivasank got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Irureta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Uriondo in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergen Durukan saved Ümraniye FK from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. sivasank fully deserved thier win.
