Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melih Tunçbilek in the 8th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Mahir Cesur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ramiz Oğuztüzün managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiz Oğuztüzün was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Çağrı Samin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, one of Galatasaray SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasaray SK. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melih Tunçbilek to make the kick off. After 98 minutes Kurtulus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramiz Oğuztüzün who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ramiz Oğuztüzün almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kurtulus's Ali Çağrı Samin did a great save. Kurtulus walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
