The referee showed Güneri Ünsan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bucak's Balaban Tuğrul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mahir Cesur. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Özmen Kutay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mahir Cesur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balaban Tuğrul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esen Akçabay hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Uğuralp Karadeniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balaban Tuğrul got free with Mahir Cesur in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bucak's goalkeeper Barlas Yalçıner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bucak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Özmen Kutay took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barlas Yalçıner. In the 80th minute, Hakkı Deniz Durna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes, Galatasaray SK's Özmen Kutay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barlas Yalçıner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Galatasaray SK reached it. Barlas Yalçıner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uğuralp Karadeniz in the 85th minute.
