Suat Egesel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Suat Egesel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bican Özdilek. FENERBAHÇE's Suat Egesel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FENERBAHÇE from getting a goal against them. Bican Özdilek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Suat Egesel came out and tried to block the shot, but Bican Özdilek slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 31st minute. If Battal Cüneyt Sözer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute Tacettin İplikçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selman Özerol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uluç Tolunbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Battal Cüneyt Sözer made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Battal Cüneyt Sözer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FENERBAHÇE's Suat Egesel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Bican Özdilek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerim's supporters rose to their feet, but Bican Özdilek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Suat Egesel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bican Özdilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tacettin İplikçi in the 67th minute of play forced Fenerim's goalkeeper Selman Özerol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fenerim's Battal Cüneyt Sözer in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fikret Kamuran struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Suat Egesel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerim. Suat Egesel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Battal Cüneyt Sözer's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Fenerim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
