In the 9th minute of the match, Hamit Özbal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Özal Pakel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sahinbey SK's goalkeeper Aykutalp Balıkçıoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alkın İshak kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ufuk Akıncı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Özal Pakel made a huge save. Sahinbey SK's Aykutalp Balıkçıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürel Uyun in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamit Özbal in the 19th minute of play forced Buca İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Özal Pakel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Sahinbey SK's Sakut Durusoy to fire away a dangerous shot which Özal Pakel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 22 minutes, Savaşer İlkim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sahinbey SK and the Buca İdman Yurdu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Savaşer İlkim hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Ufuk Akıncı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Özal Pakel. Buca İdman Yurdu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ufuk Akıncı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 37 minutes, Ufuk Akıncı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sahinbey SK and the Buca İdman Yurdu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ufuk Akıncı kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Sahinbey SK's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Coutinho came free, but Aykutalp Balıkçıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Buca İdman Yurdu booed when Sahinbey SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hami Hüsrev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berat İkram took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aykutalp Balıkçıoğlu. Sahinbey SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aykutalp Balıkçıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürel Uyun in the 44th minute of play. Özal Pakel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ufuk Akıncı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ufuk Akıncı made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Ufuk Akıncı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özal Pakel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buca İdman Yurdu's Özal Pakel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamit Özbal in the 64th minute of play. Özal Pakel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamit Özbal went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamit Özbal in the 84th minute of play forced Buca İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Özal Pakel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gürel Uyun came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Buca İdman Yurdu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürel Uyun couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sahinbey SK could leave the field as winners, despite Buca İdman Yurdu having more of the ball for most of the match.
