Veritas F.C's Mustafa Haydar Darga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Veritas F.C from getting a goal against them. Jess Bonkegaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serhan Şahin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Balkan Defence's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. After the first half Veritas F.C were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Veritas F.C's Stefan Ingemarsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jess Bonkegaard. That made the score 1-7 after 52 minutes of play. 56 minutes into the match, Balkan Defence's goalkeeper Jess Bonkegaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Ingemarsson. After some careless play in the Balkan Defence defense, Stefan Ingemarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jess Bonkegaard. The Balkan Defence fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jess Bonkegaard should have stopped the shot. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Veritas F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
