The supporters of Karşıyaka Spor Kulüpü booed when Safari 1461 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frisco Guim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuğrul Ergümen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Serkan Oğuzer made a huge save. Edward Panikowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babür Hayırlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Panikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Namık Kemal Özoğuz in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th minute Ferreirinha Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Panikowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tõnis Kriska fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serkan Oğuzer having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Tuğrul Ergümen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karşıyaka Spor Kulüpü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuğrul Ergümen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Babür Hayırlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edward Panikowski was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Safari 1461's Namık Kemal Özoğuz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Panikowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Tõnis Kriska kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serkan Oğuzer. That made the score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Karşıyaka Spor Kulüpü's goal looked a bit too open when Namık Kemal Özoğuz came free, but Edward Panikowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferreirinha Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Namık Kemal Özoğuz made the kick off in the second half.
