In the 6th minute, Lokman Ronaldinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Alcides Niedermayer in the 7th minute really tested Jess Bonkegaard's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bahadırhan Önateş struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jess Bonkegaard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yeşilköyspor. Mark Sæbø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jess Bonkegaard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahadırhan Önateş in the 13th minute of play forced Balkan Defence's goalkeeper Jess Bonkegaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luo Ke Xiang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jess Bonkegaard made a huge save. Jess Bonkegaard made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Luo Ke Xiang sent off a good shot on target. When Bahadırhan Önateş came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Yeşilköyspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bahadırhan Önateş couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Balkan Defence's Salomon Jestin got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Luo Ke Xiang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acun Tandan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Skräddare in the 33rd minute of play. Acun Tandan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Skräddare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes Yeşilköyspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Onur Özsahin who took care of the corner kick. Onur Özsahin made a great header on Balkan Defence's corner, it was just that Yeşilköyspor's Acun Tandan managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 38th minute Onur Özsahin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acun Tandan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luo Ke Xiang hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Yeşilköyspor's goal looked a bit too open when Enginsu Orgunalp came free, but Acun Tandan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yeşilköyspor booed when Balkan Defence was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salomon Jestin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Luo Ke Xiang could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Jess Bonkegaard however easily saved by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Verner Skräddare to make the kick off. If Bahadırhan Önateş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Balkan Defence's zone, Luo Ke Xiang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jess Bonkegaard came out of the goal and Luo Ke Xiang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Bahadırhan Önateş made a precise shot to the right of Jess Bonkegaard. Balkan Defence's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Salomon Jestin hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Yeşilköyspor's Emilio Castulo got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes, Balkan Defence's Onur Özsahin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acun Tandan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balkan Defence reached it. Yeşilköyspor's Bahadırhan Önateş got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Yeşilköyspor's Acun Tandan got control of the ball when Verner Skräddare tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bahadırhan Önateş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Acun Tandan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onur Özsahin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Balkan Defence getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Salomon Jestin hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Bahadırhan Önateş left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yeşilköyspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bahadırhan Önateş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Balkan Defence got a freekick which was hit by Salomon Jestin. Yeşilköyspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
