Gafur İzzettin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Sutherland in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of 1908 Vefa booed when Galatasaray A.Ş. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Ünlem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 87th minute, Tolga Sahat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hüsmen Ünlem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Lisandro Quentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lisandro Quentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Gafur İzzettin made a huge save. Galatasaray A.Ş. played a much better game than 1908 Vefa and deserved their victory. The 1908 Vefa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
