After 6 played minutes Erzincan FK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Ali Cebe. 13 minutes into the match, Alejo Otsando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anıl Mücahit Efe. Erzincan FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejo Otsando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alejo Otsando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alejo Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Otsando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anıl Mücahit Efe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulhamit Akbel in the 19th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Yunus Civan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Erzincan FK's Alptuğ Gözlem got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan got control of the ball when Ariel Ortega tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alejo Otsando struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Anıl Mücahit Efe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabzonspor. Anıl Mücahit Efe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Otsando in the 28th minute of play. Estevão Viana got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lefter Tanın. When Abdulhamit Akbel fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erzincan FK's protests and gave Abdulhamit Akbel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Erzincan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulhamit Akbel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ariel Ortega to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Baldomero Rameriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erzincan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Rameriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yunus Civan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejo Otsando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anıl Mücahit Efe having to make a save. Alejo Otsando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Anıl Mücahit Efe made a huge save. Anıl Mücahit Efe came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando. But to his dismay, Alejo Otsando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Erzincan FK's Anıl Mücahit Efe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Otsando in the 62nd minute of play. Yunus Civan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Ortega went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Anıl Mücahit Efe was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Alejo Otsando capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alejo Otsando really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Vacid Oğuzata replaced Lucio Claus. Kerem Erek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. İsmet Yalçıner hit a great ball. Kerem Erek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Mücahit Efe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Erzincan FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivo Waard was slow to take the kick. During this time Trabzonspor's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Trabzonspor's Ivo Waard to fire away a dangerous shot which Anıl Mücahit Efe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yunus Civan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Ortega in the 89th minute of the match. Kerem Erek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Anıl Mücahit Efe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Ortega came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Ortega in the 95th minute of play. Kunter Haspolatlı made in the 97th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lefter Tanın immediately put the ball in play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Trabzonspor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
