After having played for 8 minutes, Ömer Demirci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 15th minute, one of MarineerS FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MarineerS FK. MarineerS FK:s Tayfun Tanfer showed great skill when he stopped Ömer Demirci:s penalty. Tayfun Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Demirci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ömer Demirci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tayfun Tanfer was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the game, KOCAELİSPOR's Ömer Demirci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. MarineerS FK's Tayfun Tanfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Demirci in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, MarineerS FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Žydrūnas Pauža to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Şemsettin Tuyuğ was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute Carl Rundell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ömer Demirci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tayfun Tanfer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ömer Demirci managed to get in a good position for a shot. KOCAELİSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Ömer Demirci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. MarineerS FK's Derviş Akçınar was substituted for Mecnun Seha. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tekin Batırhan in the 88th minute of the match. Aşır Zabit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tayfun Tanfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aşır Zabit in the 96th minute. The MarineerS FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KOCAELİSPOR's performance. The match ended with a win for KOCAELİSPOR.
