Fawzy Al Barrak struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Abdul Mohsen Al Ammar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polperro. Majed Al Ghanem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Shaheen Al Hajri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fawzy Al Barrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Polperro's Fawzy Al Barrak got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdul Mohsen Al Ammar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fawzy Al Barrak's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Majed Al Ghanem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newcastle-upon-Tyne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 44 minutes, Mahmoud Jiragh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polperro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mahmoud Jiragh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When Polperro's Mahmoud Jiragh in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 65th minute, Mahdi Al Qattan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Fawzy Al Barrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdul Mohsen Al Ammar was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Abdul Mohsen Al Ammar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fawzy Al Barrak in the 94th minute of the match.
