The referee showed Feoktist Chugunov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Feoktist Chugunov hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Vladislav Dedyushko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Karnaukhov having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Denis Vorozhbitov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kurgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Vorozhbitov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marat Paramoshin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kurgan's Oleg Karnaukhov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Kurgan from getting a goal against them. Oleg Karnaukhov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladislav Dedyushko in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Spurs's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Vorozhbitov came free, but Marat Paramoshin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladislav Dedyushko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Vladislav Dedyushko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Kirill Govorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Oleg Karnaukhov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vadim Tarasenko kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Kurgan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kurgan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
