Volzhsky FC's Arkhip Byshovets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladislav Kudrin in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oleg Boyarkin in the 15th minute of play forced Volzhsky FC's goalkeeper Arkhip Byshovets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oleg Boyarkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fedosey Lukin in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Efimenkov saved Vladikavkaz from getting behind. The supporters of Vladikavkaz booed when Volzhsky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gennadiy Astapovskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonid Bober sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Oleg Boyarkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vladikavkaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Oleg Boyarkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arkhip Byshovets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, Igor Nekrasov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Volzhsky FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vladikavkaz the free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vladikavkaz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
