When Mitrofan Merezhko came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Zlatoust FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitrofan Merezhko couldn't finish the play. Ilya Topilskiy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Osipov having to make a save. When Vladislav Bogdanov fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Roma's protests and gave Vladislav Bogdanov a yellow card for diving instead. If Gleb Sharapov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitrofan Merezhko in the 21st minute of play forced FC Roma's goalkeeper Arseniy Kostikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Gorislavskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mitrofan Merezhko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arseniy Kostikov was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Gleb Sharapov made a precise shot to the right of Arseniy Kostikov. FC Roma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Gleb Sharapov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mitrofan Merezhko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arseniy Kostikov having to interfere. In the 38th minute Gleb Sharapov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arseniy Kostikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitrofan Merezhko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladislav Bogdanov got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gleb Sharapov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arseniy Kostikov having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mitrofan Merezhko made a kick off. The supporters of FC Roma booed when Zlatoust FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandr Kuraev didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Viktor Kvyat came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FC Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Kvyat couldn't finish the play. FC Roma's Arseniy Kostikov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save FC Roma from getting a goal against them. Arseniy Kostikov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gleb Sharapov in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gleb Sharapov got free with Arseniy Kostikov in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gleb Sharapov took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arseniy Kostikov. Arseniy Kostikov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mitrofan Merezhko in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arseniy Kostikov saved FC Roma from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Viktor Kvyat managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Kvyat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Osipov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor Kvyat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arseniy Kostikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitrofan Merezhko in the 82nd minute of play. Arseniy Kostikov made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Gleb Sharapov sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitrofan Merezhko in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Roma's goalkeeper Arseniy Kostikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Zlatoust FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
