In the 8th minute Artem Scherbakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vadim Kammari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirill Lapuri in the 12th minute of play forced Sodovik's goalkeeper Ruslan Ananasov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sodovik getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sergey Berezovskiy hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Kirill Lapuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Voronezh's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirill Lapuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruslan Ananasov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Voronezh's Vadim Kammari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artem Scherbakov in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Sodovik's goal looked a bit too open when Kirill Lapuri came free, but Ruslan Ananasov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Sodovik got a freekick which was hit by Sergey Berezovskiy. Sodovik's Ruslan Ananasov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Isakov in the 27th minute of play. Kirill Lapuri struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ruslan Ananasov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voronezh. Voronezh's Vyacheslav Voskoboinikov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artem Scherbakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Kirill Lapuri made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Artem Scherbakov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sodovik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 58 minutes into the game, Viktor Batov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Voronezh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sodovik the free kick. Viktor Batov hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Robert Drepelev came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Sodovik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Drepelev couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gleb Kameraz during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Voronezh getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gleb Kameraz hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Artem Scherbakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vadim Kammari. Voronezh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artem Scherbakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Robert Drepelev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vadim Kammari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. If Robert Drepelev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artem Scherbakov struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Vadim Kammari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sodovik. If Kirill Lapuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruslan Ananasov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirill Lapuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruslan Ananasov made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Albert Isakov sent off a good shot on target. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sodovik fully deserved thier win.
