Valter Titov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vsevolod Dyrdin. Nalchik FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Viktor Babich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Babich struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Pavel Kazachenok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nalchik FC. Vsevolod Dyrdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vyacheslav Tsarkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Nalchik FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy couldn't finish the play. Viktor Babich in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pavel Kazachenok, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viktor Babich in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Kazachenok prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oleg Amelichev kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Nalchik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Tsarkov came free, but Vsevolod Dyrdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasiliy Anikin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Kazachenok having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruslan Sorokin got free with Pavel Kazachenok in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Kansk's zone, Ruslan Sorokin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Kazachenok came out of the goal and Ruslan Sorokin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viktor Babich was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Valeriy Bezborodko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kansk and the Nalchik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nalchik FC booed when Kansk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriy Bezborodko didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Viktor Babich sped through Kansk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pavel Kazachenok. Kansk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vsevolod Dyrdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maksim Lileev, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Kansk's Pavel Kazachenok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Babich in the 74th minute of play. Timofey Orlov kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Maksim Lileev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viktor Babich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Kazachenok having to interfere. In the 91st minute Viktor Babich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Kazachenok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vsevolod Dyrdin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timofey Orlov in the 94th minute of the match. If Vyacheslav Tsarkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nalchik FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
