In the 21st minute Vladislav Vorobiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriy Nazarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Chita got a freekick which was hit by Timur Kapustkin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by German Bukalov during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chita's German Bukalov got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Salavat's Gleb Tolbuhin got control of the ball when Albert Kulak tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vladimir Besov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Besov struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Valeriy Nazarov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salavat. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Valeriy Nazarov stood somewhat misplaced when Vladimir Besov came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Chita's Valeriy Nazarov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Chita from getting a goal against them. Valeriy Nazarov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 74 in the game by Vladislav Vorobiev from a close distance when the talented Valeriy Nazarov managed to make a qualified save. Chita's players were relieved. In the 75th minute, Vladimir Besov fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 77th minute, Nikolay Alekseenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Chita defense, Vladislav Vorobiev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valeriy Nazarov. The Chita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valeriy Nazarov should have stopped the shot. Vladislav Vorobiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriy Nazarov having to interfere. When the match was over Salavat could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chita throughout the match.
