Grigoriy Ababko hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Valentin Kondratiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikhail Gulyaev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gleb Pavlyuchenko's late challenge caught a Nazran HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gleb Pavlyuchenko helped the player get up and apologised. Gleb Pavlyuchenko hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Valentin Kondratiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikhail Gulyaev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nazran HC's Vladimir Shamanov got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Kondratiev in the 32nd minute of play forced FSC Rybinsk's goalkeeper Mikhail Gulyaev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimir Shamanov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikhail Gulyaev having to make a save. After 40 played minutes FSC Rybinsk got a freekick which was hit by Nikolay Saprykin. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FSC Rybinsk's goalkeeper Mikhail Gulyaev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gleb Pavlyuchenko was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Nazran HC booed when FSC Rybinsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gleb Pavlyuchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniil Galkin, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grigoriy Ababko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Igor Shestakov fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nazran HC's protests and gave Igor Shestakov a yellow card for diving instead. Igor Shestakov kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Timur Bogdanov kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mikhail Gulyaev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Shamanov in the 58th minute of the match. Valentin Kondratiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Gulyaev having to interfere. If Valentin Kondratiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes in the game, Igor Shestakov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mikhail Gulyaev having to interfere. Valentin Kondratiev took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikhail Gulyaev. Mikhail Gulyaev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Nazran HC's zone, Timur Bogdanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasiliy Kachan came out of the goal and Timur Bogdanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Kondratiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Shamanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mikhail Gulyaev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Kondratiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. FSC Rybinsk's Mikhail Gulyaev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save FSC Rybinsk from getting a goal against them. The FSC Rybinsk supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nazran HC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nazran HC.
