Yakutsk FC's Aleksey Alekseenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikhail Dvornikov in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Yakutsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mikhail Dvornikov came free, but Aleksey Alekseenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maksim Rybasov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Livshits, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Podolsk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriy Orekhov came free, but Maksim Rybasov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeriy Orekhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavel Livshits blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maksim Rybasov having to make a save. After 31 minutes, Feoktist Sokolov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yakutsk FC and the Podolsk HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Podolsk HC booed when Yakutsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feoktist Sokolov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aleksey Alekseenko made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Mikhail Dvornikov sent off a good shot on target. Efim Mishutochkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the game, Mikhail Dvornikov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aleksey Alekseenko. Mikhail Dvornikov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Yakutsk FC's zone, Mikhail Dvornikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Alekseenko came out of the goal and Mikhail Dvornikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriy Orekhov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pavel Livshits could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Maksim Rybasov made a huge save. Valeriy Orekhov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pavel Livshits struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Maksim Rybasov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yakutsk FC. Aleksey Alekseenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikhail Dvornikov in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Podolsk HC's Mikhail Dvornikov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aleksey Alekseenko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 71st minute Mikhail Dvornikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksey Alekseenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Efim Mishutochkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksey Alekseenko was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Konstantin Krylov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yakutsk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Podolsk HC the free kick. After 84 played minutes Yakutsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Krylov. Efim Mishutochkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Aleksey Alekseenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksey Alekseenko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikhail Dvornikov went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute Valeriy Orekhov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksim Rybasov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yakutsk FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Podolsk HC.
