Georgiy Omelchenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergey Borisanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Spiridon Bambaev scored 1-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georgiy Omelchenko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Timofey Filshtinskiy hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Ernest Buzikov charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Buzikov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Yakutsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Buzikov to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sergey Borisanov made the kick off in the second half. Spiridon Bambaev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgiy Omelchenko having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Yakutsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Spiridon Bambaev came free, but Georgiy Omelchenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yakutsk FC booed when CSKA MOSKVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CSKA MOSKVA had played much better football throughout.
