After a rather tough play, Zhukovsky's Rustam Barsegov got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, one of Zhukovsky:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zhukovsky. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vsevolod Gorbatenko got free with Yuriy Dreval in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergey Golubinskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Vsevolod Gorbatenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almeria's supporters rose to their feet, but Vsevolod Gorbatenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuriy Dreval breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Zhukovsky's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Golubinskiy came free, but Yuriy Dreval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergey Golubinskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Dreval having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Golubinskiy in the 23rd minute of play forced Zhukovsky's goalkeeper Yuriy Dreval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Almeria got a corner. Zhukovsky's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yuriy Artamonov ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 26 in the game by Vsevolod Gorbatenko from a close distance when the talented Yuriy Dreval managed to make a qualified save. Zhukovsky's players were relieved. Zhukovsky's Yuriy Dreval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergey Golubinskiy in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Zhukovsky's goalkeeper Yuriy Dreval had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vsevolod Gorbatenko. The supporters of Almeria booed when Zhukovsky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timur Bystrov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Sergey Golubinskiy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yuriy Dreval. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Zhukovsky's zone, Sergey Golubinskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuriy Dreval came out of the goal and Sergey Golubinskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Zhukovsky's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Golubinskiy came free, but Yuriy Dreval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kirill Getsko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Vsevolod Gorbatenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuriy Dreval was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergey Golubinskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yuriy Dreval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vsevolod Gorbatenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Sergey Golubinskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rustam Barsegov fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zhukovsky's protests and gave Rustam Barsegov a yellow card for diving instead. Rustam Barsegov kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Almeria's Sergey Golubinskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sergey Golubinskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuriy Dreval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vsevolod Gorbatenko in the 74th minute of the match. Kirill Getsko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vsevolod Gorbatenko couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Zhukovsky was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiy Dementiev to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Golubinskiy in the 94th minute of play forced Zhukovsky's goalkeeper Yuriy Dreval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuriy Dreval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Golubinskiy in the 96th minute of play. After 97 minutes, Timur Bystrov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zhukovsky and the Almeria players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Zhukovsky getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Timur Bystrov hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Golubinskiy in the 98th minute of play forced Zhukovsky's goalkeeper Yuriy Dreval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Almeria fully deserved thier win.
