In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barnaul HC's goalkeeper Arseniy Oborin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Barnaul HC's goalkeeper Arseniy Oborin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maksim Krivonogov. In the 37th minute, Denis Shestakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the game, Timofey Kozyukov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arseniy Oborin. Timofey Kozyukov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes of play, Ivanovo FC's Maksim Krivonogov made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arseniy Oborin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vsevolod Ivlev charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Arseniy Oborin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksim Krivonogov in the 81st minute of play. Arseniy Oborin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timofey Kozyukov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timofey Kozyukov struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Arseniy Oborin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ivanovo FC. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
