After 4 minutes, Dmitriy Pechatnikov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norilsk FC and the Kaluga players grew even worse after the yellow card. 5 minutes into the match, Kaluga's Artem Bystrilov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Mark Byvalov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaluga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Byvalov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikhail Rublev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolay Leushin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikhail Rublev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolay Leushin in the 13th minute of the match. Kaluga were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Norilsk FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artem Bystrilov took the corner. After taking down the ball on Kaluga's corner Artem Bystrilov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mikhail Rublev quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th match minute, Kaluga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Byvalov to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Artem Bystrilov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Norilsk FC's Grigoriy Shustov quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 18th match minute, Norilsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Panfilov to maneuver through the defense. Norilsk FC's Mikhail Rublev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolay Leushin in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Valeriy Nekrasov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Kaluga's Nikolay Leushin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikhail Rublev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Kaluga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Artem Bystrilov in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on Kaluga's corner Artem Bystrilov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mikhail Rublev quite easily take care of the ball. Mikhail Rublev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolay Leushin in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mark Byvalov during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Mark Byvalov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norilsk FC's Constantino Duval got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Constantino Duval came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Norilsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Duval couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikolay Leushin made a kick off. With a little luck, Norilsk FC's Mikhail Rublev got control of the ball when Mark Byvalov tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Nikolay Leushin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolay Leushin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Rublev having to interfere. Petr Baklanov's late challenge caught a Kaluga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petr Baklanov helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Norilsk FC's Petr Baklanov got a free kick in the 60th minute. Artem Bystrilov kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Mark Byvalov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 66 in the game by Mark Byvalov from a close distance when the talented Mikhail Rublev managed to make a qualified save. Norilsk FC's players were relieved. When Mark Byvalov came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Kaluga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Byvalov couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Byvalov got free with Mikhail Rublev in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasiliy Kostin spun around in front of the goal 75 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Norilsk FC's goal. Mark Byvalov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Mikhail Rublev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 82nd minute, Mark Byvalov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mikhail Rublev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mark Byvalov took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikhail Rublev. Mikhail Rublev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Constantino Duval came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Norilsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Duval couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Byvalov got free with Mikhail Rublev in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaluga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
