Denis Kuvshinnikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dmitriy Zaitsev came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Biysk HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dmitriy Zaitsev couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Kyzyl's Denis Kuvshinnikov got control of the ball when Dmitriy Zaitsev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Konstantin Isakov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Denis Kuvshinnikov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rostislav Grigorash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Morozov in the 16th minute of play. Denis Kuvshinnikov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dmitriy Zaitsev went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rostislav Grigorash took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oleg Pashkevich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Biysk HC's zone, Oleg Pashkevich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rostislav Grigorash came out of the goal and Oleg Pashkevich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Morozov in the 37th minute of play forced Biysk HC's goalkeeper Rostislav Grigorash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kyzyl fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Kyzyl's Gennadiy Morozov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 53 minutes Biysk HC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aleksey Alekseev who took care of the corner kick. 57 minutes into the game, Oleg Pashkevich recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rostislav Grigorash. Oleg Pashkevich showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 62 played minutes Kyzyl got a freekick which was hit by Gennadiy Morozov. Gennadiy Morozov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostislav Grigorash having to interfere. Oleg Pashkevich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rostislav Grigorash made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, Grigoriy Chigorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biysk HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kyzyl the free kick. Post out! Kyzyl were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
