Pavel Finik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerónimo Silva having to interfere. Mikhail Smirnov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gerónimo Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gert Björnsson came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Shinnik Yaroslavl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Björnsson couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Stanislav Onenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mikhail Smirnov charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikhail Smirnov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Mikhail Smirnov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Shinnik Yaroslavl got a freekick which was hit by Sergey Aksenov. Egor Dobrov, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Björnsson in the 18th minute of play forced Artem's goalkeeper Maksim Farafonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerónimo Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikhail Smirnov in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Shinnik Yaroslavl's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitriy Kalamanov came free, but Gerónimo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maksim Farafonov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Björnsson in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Björnsson in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maksim Farafonov saved Artem from getting behind. When Shinnik Yaroslavl's Gert Björnsson in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Artem's goalie prevented a goal. Dmitriy Kalamanov's late challenge caught a Shinnik Yaroslavl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dmitriy Kalamanov helped the player get up and apologised. Maksim Farafonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Onenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Gerónimo Silva made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Mikhail Smirnov sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dmitriy Kalamanov made a kick off. Gert Björnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Maksim Farafonov made a huge save. Gert Björnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shinnik Yaroslavl's Gert Björnsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Andrey Ivchenko charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrey Ivchenko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Andrey Ivchenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Oleg Gorbachev from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Maksim Farafonov's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 74 played minutes Artem got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Finik. Artem's Maksim Farafonov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Artem from getting a goal against them. Stanislav Onenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Maksim Farafonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Björnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Gert Björnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Maksim Farafonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
