With his leg Kirill Rossomakhin managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Tver's Aleksey Tymko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 12 minutes into the match, Novokuybyshevsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonid Sikun came free, but Kirill Rossomakhin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Aleksey Tymko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerasim Volkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arseniy Abakushin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Leonid Sikun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirill Rossomakhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Novokuybyshevsk FC's goalkeeper Kirill Rossomakhin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonid Sikun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kirill Rossomakhin having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danila Godunov to strike the kick off in the second half. Kirill Rossomakhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Sikun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleksey Tymko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kirill Rossomakhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonid Sikun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tver's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonid Sikun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arseniy Abakushin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Gerasim Volkov made a huge save. Matvey Tsirik struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Kirill Rossomakhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tver. After a defensive mix-up in Tver's zone, Danila Godunov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerasim Volkov came out of the goal and Danila Godunov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes Novokuybyshevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Dorofeev. Lev Panov, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aleksey Tymko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirill Rossomakhin having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Novokuybyshevsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksey Kosmatov to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lev Panov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tver's supporters rose to their feet, but Lev Panov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirill Rossomakhin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tver players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
