Emmanuil Loginov started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Cheboksary FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuil Loginov came free, but Oleg Shiryaev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cheboksary FC's Valeriy Averchenko got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Irkutsk Titans's Felix Afanasev broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Georgiy Yatsenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irkutsk Titans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georgiy Yatsenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cheboksary FC's zone, Emmanuil Loginov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oleg Shiryaev came out of the goal and Emmanuil Loginov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oleg Shiryaev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuil Loginov in the 14th minute of play. Oleg Shiryaev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuil Loginov in the 16th minute of the match. Filipp Trofimov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Filipp Trofimov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Irkutsk Titans fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Irkutsk Titans's Georgiy Yatsenko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cheboksary FC's goalkeeper Oleg Shiryaev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Vitaliy Granskiy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheboksary FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irkutsk Titans the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cheboksary FC's Vitaliy Granskiy got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Emmanuil Loginov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Oleg Shiryaev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oleg Shiryaev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georgiy Yatsenko in the 45th minute. When Filipp Trofimov fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheboksary FC's protests and gave Filipp Trofimov a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes Cheboksary FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipp Trofimov. In the 49th minute, Georgiy Yatsenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 55 minutes, Emmanuil Cherkasskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irkutsk Titans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanuil Cherkasskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georgiy Yatsenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oleg Shiryaev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Emmanuil Loginov struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Oleg Shiryaev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irkutsk Titans. Oleg Shiryaev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgiy Yatsenko in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Georgiy Yatsenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irkutsk Titans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georgiy Yatsenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Georgiy Yatsenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Shiryaev was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Irkutsk Titans's Georgiy Yatsenko got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emmanuil Loginov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Oleg Shiryaev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irkutsk Titans's Georgiy Yatsenko got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cheboksary FC's Valeriy Averchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Emmanuil Cherkasskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georgiy Yatsenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Irkutsk Titans fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cheboksary FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
