Spectators: 6809 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Petr Marfin started the match with the kick off. Pavel Sysoev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikifor Anyukov in the 6th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Nikifor Anyukov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tver FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikifor Anyukov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Sysoev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Nikifor Anyukov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pavel Sysoev, 1-0. In the 33rd minute Petr Marfin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Chernevskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergey Batygin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Petr Marfin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volgograd UTD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikifor Anyukov was the one to do the kick off. Roman Chernevskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petr Marfin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Tver FC's Roman Chernevskiy got control of the ball when Sergey Batygin tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matvey Ovchinnikov in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavel Sysoev saved Volgograd UTD from getting behind. The supporters of Volgograd UTD booed when Tver FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikifor Anyukov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Chernevskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Marfin in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikifor Anyukov in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Sysoev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruslan Brazhnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Sysoev having to interfere. Sergey Batygins short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Roman Chernevskiy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Volgograd UTD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
