David Dumbrov might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kim Arshavin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Dumbrov ran back to his position shaking his head. After 18 played minutes Rio Branco got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Teleshov. If Lionel Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kim Arshavin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirill Chervinskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rio Branco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC. Red Rowens Rockets were winning 0-1.

The supporters of FC. Red Rowens Rockets booed when Rio Branco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boleslav Sorokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Rio Branco got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Petrichenko. When the final whistle sounded FC. Red Rowens Rockets left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rio Branco.
