The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tenyo Kyuchukov during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sergey Benigsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskar Babaitsev made a kick off. Vitaliy Chazov was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Vasiliy Kilentsin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasiliy Kilentsin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Pavel Mogilevskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Vladimir Golubkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Kaplichnyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Крылья Советов's Vitaliy Chazov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Крылья Советов from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tenyo Kyuchukov in the 72nd minute of play forced Крылья Советов's goalkeeper Vitaliy Chazov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yakov Petuhov kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Tenyo Kyuchukov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. Vitaliy Chazov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergey Benigsen in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Krylya Sovetov's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitriy Kaplichnyi came free, but Vladimir Golubkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krylya Sovetov's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
