Arsen Zevakin scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maksim Gusev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Arsen Zevakin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Varyagi's Jordy van Rijswijk got control of the ball when Stepan Kopylov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yuvenaliy Koryavihin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jordy van Rijswijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in REGION 65's zone, Nikolay Konstantinov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maksim Gusev came out of the goal and Nikolay Konstantinov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nikolay Konstantinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Vsevolod Sidoruk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varyagi's supporters rose to their feet, but Vsevolod Sidoruk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksim Gusev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikolay Konstantinov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Arsen Zevakin made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, REGION 65 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniil Biryukov to maneuver through the defense. When Nikolay Konstantinov came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Varyagi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolay Konstantinov couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, REGION 65's goalkeeper Maksim Gusev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikolay Konstantinov. Nikolay Konstantinov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Maksim Gusev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Arsen Zevakin rounded REGION 65's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Nikolay Konstantinov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Nikolay Konstantinov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maksim Gusev, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuvenaliy Koryavihin in the 72nd minute of play forced Varyagi's goalkeeper Jordy van Rijswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, REGION 65's Anton Myshkin got a free kick in the 76th minute. Varyagi's Vsevolod Sidoruk got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, REGION 65's goal looked a bit too open when Arsen Zevakin came free, but Maksim Gusev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikolay Konstantinov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Stepan Kopylov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordy van Rijswijk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Anatoliy Kostrikov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. REGION 65's Maksim Gusev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save REGION 65 from getting a goal against them. If Anatoliy Kostrikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Arsen Zevakin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varyagi's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsen Zevakin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksim Gusev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
