Vladlen Guzovskiy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yakov Cherushov. Omsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Zinoviy Kuskov made the kick off in the second half. If Zinoviy Kuskov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Stanislav Stoyanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zinoviy Kuskov struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. In the 60th match minute, Omsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Brovin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Omsk getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marat Kazachenok hit a great ball. Arkadiy Leonov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yakov Cherushov came out and tried to block the shot, but Arkadiy Leonov slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 67th minute. Stanislav Stoyanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marat Talitskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikhail Voronov took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yakov Cherushov. Yakov Cherushov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 78th minute Zinoviy Kuskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Stoyanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Omsk got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Brovin. In the 87th match minute, Omsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinoviy Kuskov to maneuver through the defense. Stanislav Stoyanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Cruz in the 90th minute of the match. António Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislav Stoyanov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Mikhail Voronov made a precise shot to the right of Yakov Cherushov. Omsk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3.
