The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vsevolod Minkov during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute of the match, Aleksey Kantonistov tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mark Metlitskiy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Artur Dityatin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mark Metlitskiy. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. A collision led to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aleksey Hizh hit a great ball. Vikentiy Nikiforov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniil Bodryashkin's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniil Bodryashkin in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vikentiy Nikiforov saved Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC from getting behind. In the 19th minute Afanasiy Areschenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vikentiy Nikiforov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Dityatin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Denis Popov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Aleksey Kantonistov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mark Metlitskiy. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Cherkessk's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksey Kantonistov came free, but Mark Metlitskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniil Bodryashkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vikentiy Nikiforov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Metlitskiy made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Artur Dityatin sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Aleksey Kantonistov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mark Metlitskiy. The goal made the score 3-0. Artur Dityatin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Mark Metlitskiy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksey Kantonistov in the 47th minute of play forced Cherkessk's goalkeeper Mark Metlitskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniil Bodryashkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrey Kasyanenko hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Aleksey Kantonistov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC's Artur Dityatin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Metlitskiy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. A collision led to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Yakov Basalaev hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Boris Taratorkin in the 73rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Vikentiy Nikiforov's left hand side. Aleksey Kantonistov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Metlitskiy having to interfere. Artur Dityatin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Metlitskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Innokentiy Givartovskiy in the 86th minute of the match. When Aleksey Kantonistov came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksey Kantonistov couldn't finish the play. If Artur Dityatin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC's Artur Dityatin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Metlitskiy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Denis Popov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Artur Dityatin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Dityatin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Metlitskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
