The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstantin Belyakov got free with Rostislav Baidak in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Konstantin Belyakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naberezhnye Chelny FC's Rostislav Baidak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tihon Ilyin in the 13th minute of play. After 16 played minutes ZSKA got a freekick which was hit by Daniil Anyakin. When Arseniy Danilov fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZSKA's protests and gave Arseniy Danilov a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ZSKA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Arseniy Danilov hit a great ball. ZSKA's Oleg Aldanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Babich in the 24th minute of play. Anton Babich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 34 minutes, Anton Babich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naberezhnye Chelny FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Babich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oleg Aldanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Babich in the 39th minute of play. When Konstantin Belyakov came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the ZSKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantin Belyakov couldn't finish the play. Tihon Ilyin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Naberezhnye Chelny FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Babich was the one to do the kick off. Gleb Fedulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostislav Baidak having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Anton Babich rounded ZSKA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Irakliy Lekar hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Anton Babich fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Oleg Aldanov, passed just outside the right post. Anton Babich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Aldanov having to interfere. Rostislav Baidak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantin Belyakov in the 70th minute of play. ZSKA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anton Babich 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Konstantin Belyakov put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Rostislav Baidak. Konstantin Belyakov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rostislav Baidak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Naberezhnye Chelny FC's Anton Babich got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st play minute Igor Borisov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oleg Aldanov. 1-5. Igor Borisov succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 94th playminute. The Naberezhnye Chelny FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
