An unexpectedly hard shot by Petr Harlamov in the 12th minute of play forced ЦСКА Москва's goalkeeper Mikhail Khokhlov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bratsk FC defense, Henry Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irakliy Minko. The Bratsk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irakliy Minko should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Klim Glazanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirill Trofimov got free with Irakliy Minko in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Bratsk FC's goalkeeper Irakliy Minko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kirill Dybenko. Mikhail Khokhlov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petr Harlamov, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Bratsk FC's Daniil Bolotov got a free kick in the 27th minute. Kirill Dybenko struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Irakliy Minko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ЦСКА Москва. After having played for 40 minutes, Petr Harlamov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bratsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petr Harlamov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikhail Khokhlov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klim Glazanov in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Petr Harlamov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Mikhail Khokhlov made a huge save. Petr Harlamov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Khokhlov having to interfere. Mikhail Khokhlov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Kaletin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bratsk FC's zone, Nikita Lebedev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irakliy Minko came out of the goal and Nikita Lebedev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irakliy Minko came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by ЦСКА Москва's Henry Costa. But to his dismay, Henry Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Henry Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Kirill Trofimov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ЦСКА Москва's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bratsk FC the free kick. The supporters of Bratsk FC booed when ЦСКА Москва was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirill Trofimov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikhail Arshavin struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Mikhail Khokhlov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bratsk FC. In the 70thth minute of the game Kirill Dybenko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bratsk FC's Irakliy Minko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Petr Harlamov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mikhail Khokhlov. That made the score 2-1 in the 77 minute of play. When Kirill Dybenko came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the ЦСКА Москва fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirill Dybenko couldn't finish the play. Mikhail Arshavin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes ЦСКА Москва got a freekick which was hit by Kirill Trofimov. Mikhail Arshavin hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
