In the 10th minute, Daniil Medvedev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zlatoust FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bastion's Konstantin Dovzhenko got a free kick in the 16th minute. Valeriy Beskov charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeriy Beskov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valeriy Beskov hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Egor Buznikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniil Medvedev in the 23rd minute of play. Grigoriy Kovalev's late challenge caught a Bastion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grigoriy Kovalev helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Zlatoust FC got a freekick which was hit by Grigoriy Kovalev. Bastion's Egor Buznikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniil Medvedev in the 33rd minute of play. Eduard Pshenichnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksey Smertin having to interfere. Eduard Pshenichnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuvenaliy Ignatov in the 46th minute of play forced Bastion's goalkeeper Egor Buznikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuvenaliy Ignatov got free with Egor Buznikov in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egor Buznikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniil Medvedev, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Daniil Medvedev took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Egor Buznikov to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Eduard Pshenichnikov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastion's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Pshenichnikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Smertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. German Halzov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Aleksey Smertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastion's German Halzov got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Zlatoust FC got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandr Korogodskiy. Eduard Pshenichnikov struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Aleksey Smertin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bastion. 83 minutes into the match, Bastion's goal looked a bit too open when Daniil Medvedev came free, but Egor Buznikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute German Halzov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksey Smertin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Zlatoust FC booed when Bastion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Halzov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Bastion's Nikolay Chernogubov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nikolay Chernogubov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bastion protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nikolay Chernogubov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Zlatoust FC a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Grigoriy Kovalev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bastion's Egor Buznikov. 0-3. Egor Buznikov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniil Medvedev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
