After a defensive mix-up in Bratsk FC's zone, Semen Adamskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irakliy Minko came out of the goal and Semen Adamskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Klim Glazanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Artem Biryukov made a precise shot to the right of Irakliy Minko. Bratsk FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Semen Adamskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irakliy Minko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Semen Adamskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Bratsk FC booed when Kopeysk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georgiy Sharapov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kopeysk's Arseniy Kamaev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikhail Arshavin in the 17th minute of play. If Petr Harlamov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Arseniy Kamaev managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Bratsk FC's Petr Harlamov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Artem Biryukov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irakliy Minko having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artem Biryukov in the 29th minute of play forced Bratsk FC's goalkeeper Irakliy Minko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikhail Arshavin in the 33rd minute of play forced Kopeysk's goalkeeper Arseniy Kamaev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Semen Adamskiy in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irakliy Minko saved Bratsk FC from getting behind. Petr Harlamov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arseniy Kamaev having to interfere. A collision led to Kopeysk getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Afanasiy Kluzhenkov hit a great ball. Mikhail Arshavin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Arseniy Kamaev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Vladimir Banschikov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kopeysk and the Bratsk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikhail Arshavin to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Vladimir Banschikov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bratsk FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Kopeysk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dmitriy Vasiliev took the corner. Mikhail Arshavin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arseniy Kamaev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petr Harlamov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikhail Arshavin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semen Adamskiy in the 71st minute of play forced Bratsk FC's goalkeeper Irakliy Minko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Artem Biryukov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Petr Harlamov made a precise shot to the right of Arseniy Kamaev. Kopeysk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mikhail Arshavin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
